How customers rate our service to Fun Days & Fairs
Fun Days & Fairs work very differently from parties and team building. Our 'Gyoji' has to work hard to satisfy the queue of adults and children that quickly forms. Read our customer testimonial below to see how the event orgaisers rated us. Or select another review category:
Fun Days & Fairs
"Thank you Martin for a great experience, all my colleagues are talking about the activity and how they both enjoyed taking apart and watching the activity. You were spot on with the Sumo being a crowd pleaser and great visual attraction. Look forward to working with you in future. Thank again Martin for offering a real cost effective activity and added personal touch making the activity a real treat for all."
(Delroy, Southwark - following the Targeted Youth Support Team's space at Southwark Council's 'The Mix' festival)
"We have nothing but praise - the children and parents have all commented on how well organised, and fun the Sumo was. We would like to thank Martin for such a wonderful 'Sumo Experience'! ... it was all great!"
(Elaine, Northfields - following her school's fair)
"All of the youth group were able to take part and had a fantastic time. This thanks to the preparation, professionalism and delivery of Martin. Excellent value for money and well worth having Martin there to run the evening rather than just hiring the kit yourself. Many thanks again."
(Steve, Danehill - following his youth club evening event)
"Excellent event. Having Martin run the session makes a real difference as he is experieinced, proifessional and great fun."
(Steve, Danehill - following his second youth club evening event)
"Martin is friendly, professional and excellent at getting everyone involved, having fun and doing so in a safe environment. Thank you once again Martin."
(Steve, Danehill - following his third youth club evening event)
"Martin has run numerous Sumo Experience parties for our youth groups. He is always highly organised, very professional and a pleasure to work with! It's great to see all the young people having fun and getting involved. It's one of the 'highlights' of their youth club year!"
(Steve, Danehill - following his fourth youth club evening event)
"Another fantastic 'Sumo Experience' under the excellent quality and control of Martin. A good time was had by all - I've never seen some people laugh so much! Thanks again Martin and let's see if we can make this a regular annual booking."
(Steve, Hartfield - following his first youth club evening event, at an alternate youth club!)
"I think its pretty safe to say that in spite of the slow start, it all went down well and the few people that I did manage to collar and specifically ask about it (even if they didn't actually take part), all said how hilarious they thought it was and might in the future consider it for themselves."
(Sue, Addlestone - following her company's summer BBQ)
"Martin was just great with the kids - great sense of humour and interacted with them brilliantly. We had great weather - so we were outside on the village green. Lots of spectators - parents thought it was just perfect. THANKS!"
(Helen, Great Missenden - following her church's summer kid's club event)
"Martin was very professional, courteous, patient (I had many questions). He arrived in good time to set up and did not stop for 2 hours, making a lot of children very happy with their experience. I also thank him for his cheerfulness all afternoon!"
(Christele, Northfields - following her school's fair two years later)
"This was a new experience for us - a new atempt to raise money for charity and it worked really well. Organisation was great. Atmosphere created - was great. Thank you for your support for us and making the event a success. The pupils were very positive afterwards - this hopefully opens up new avenues for us... the pupils were very happy and staff felt they were left with some dignity at the end."
(Helen, Epsom - following her college's Red Nose Day fund raiser)
"I wanted to say a huge thanks for attending the event and an even bigger thanks for your enthusiasm throughout the evening. The children absolutely loved the sumo wresting itself as well as your outfit which they absolutely loved. There has been a lot of talks across the different teams about how much fun it would be to book you for a team building event!! ... thank you for putting such smiles on the children's faces."
(Natasha, Guildford - following the Surrey County Council fun-day for children in care)
"Martin arrived promptly, set up and was busy from the first moment and he didn't stop... The children and adults were very pleased so much so that I understand a few parties will be booked for birthdays."
(Vanessa, Farnham - following her school's fair)
"Everybody who I have spoken to about Sumo Experience since this event absolutely loved it and thought how different it is ... perfect in every way."
(Vanessa, Farnham - following another booking for her school's fair 2 years later)
"Great to have Martin back as some of the kids had been to the previous Sumo night held at the youth club and run by him and helpful for him having been to the venue before. This all helps I feel to build up relationships and adds towards the very smooth running of the event. Great fun had by all. Thank you"
(Jo, Eashing - following her youth club's sumo evening)
"Great set up you have, well organised and well led through" ... (suggestion) "It was a great evening, my only one comment would be, I know that health and safety is very important but it did take up quite a long time at the beginning and the kids were loosing attention. Only a small point though"
(Tim, Burgess Hill - following his youth club's evening sumo event)
"It was great to draw the guys into the event and build the tension"
(Andy, Woking - following separate events for his pathfinders and youthclub)
"We had great feedback from loads of people on the Sumo, and I asked my 9 year old daughter what was the best bit and she went on and on about how good her Sumo fight was, how she was banging the gong and was very excited in playing the nurse role 'mopping up the blood from the small Chinese looking man who cut his foot'. So she felt very involved which is what it is all about. I also managed to get one of her fights on my camcorder. In short is was great to see so many children enjoying themselves, we had the weather and it was a great day and very well worthwhile, and we also appreciate how hard you had to work at it non-stop for so long."
(Bob, Isleworth - following his local community fair)
"Organised and paid for by local police so unable to comment of value for money. Young people enjoyed it and were able to grasp the point about controlling anger!"
(Jon, Haslemere - following the Sumo evening at his youth club)
"Everything was great"
(Nicola, Cranleigh - following the Sumo evening at her youth club)
"The evening is well organised and controlled which is not easy as we were holding these in four youth clubs where children are often boisterous and pushing the boundaries! Young people really engage in the challenge and it's a great way of getting rid of those simmering frustrations, so long as it's not personal! We used these to concentrate the youngsters minds on how physical pushing is okay in contact sports where special rules apply, but in the street or at school violence is not acceptable and the consequences can be severe to anyone over the age of 10" ... (suggestion) "Maybe a large mat for the adults a bit like in tennis where you have two boundaries, one for singles and one for doubles. The bouts seemed to be over very quickly!"
(Neil, Surrey Police Youth Team who sponsored Sumo events in four Surrey youth clubs)
